Sabre Virtual Meetings is expanding its network in a big way. Sabre Travel Network just announced a partnership with Regus, the world’s largest supplier of public high definition public video communication rooms.
Through the Regus network, Sabre Virtual Meetings will offer real-time access to more than 1,200 public video communication rooms in more than 550 cities. These 550 cities translate into more than 300,000 unique city pairs where we can help our customers shop and compare video and travel options.
The breadth and depth of Regus’ footprint provides a great foundation to our global network of both public and private video conferencing rooms. By building upon the company’s network, we’ll be able to offer travel buyers the most comprehensive resource for booking and connecting video conferencing rooms around the world.
This deal comes on the heels of a couple of key partnerships we reached toward the end of last year.
In November, Sabre Travel Network and Polycom announced the joint development of the first global reservation system for booking and scheduling public and corporate-owned HD video conferencing and telepresence rooms. Through Sabre Virtual Meetings, users can locate, reserve, and connect public and corporate-owned video conferencing rooms and set up “face-to-face” HD video conferences with colleagues, partners, and customers anywhere around the world.
In December, Sabre and Glowpoint announced plans to integrate cloud-managed video services in Sabre Virtual Meetings. Through Glowpoint’s OpenVideo™ services, Sabre Virtual Meetings will be able to serve the hundreds of customers and more than 55,000 video rooms/units in their system today. We will use Glowpoint’s OpenVideo™ cloud to provide users with videoconferencing services such as video bridging, helpdesk and concierge services, and business- to- business calling via the world's largest global, multi-vendor business-to-business exchange for video.
Working with Glowpoint, we will offer cloud based services for video, which do not require video infrastructure on the customer's network or local support. Even if your company does not currently use Glowpoint services, we will be able to provide access to your company to facilitate business-class quality, video meetings.
Sabre Virtual Meetings has come a long way in a short period, which speaks to the market demand. We are excited about our progress, and remain steadfast in our goal to launch the best solution to the market soon.
