AirTran (FL) will have an extended outage while system maintenance is performed in Sabre beginning on Wednesday, July 28th, at 2200 US CDT until 0300 US CDT Thursday, July 29th. During this time frame, all FL functions in Sabre such as Availability, Sell from Availability, Seats and electronic ticketing will be inhibited. FL advised PNR messaging will be queued on their side and processed once the systems are back online.

Sabre is working to ensure the features and functionality our subscribers enjoy today continues to be available to Sabre ConnectedSM travel agencies after the changes at AirTran. However as a result of this upgrade there will be a transition period during which reservations made via GetThere to the Sabre® system on AirTran will revert to Answerback type messaging and the current /DCFL tag will become /ABFL. 

Sabre expects to return to interactive segment sell and Frequent Flyer number transmission for AirTran by mid-August. Dates for FLIFO, interactive seat maps and interactive pre-reserved seats will be announced when available. 

Therefore, until these features are restored, GetThere Sabre Customers will be unable to view AirTran seat maps, request seats on AirTran, view AirTran arrival and departure status, or send frequent flyer information to AirTran.  We will advise when we have further updates on this functionality.  Please contact your Sabre Respresentative for further details.
